The elderly care home of Associação de Socorros Mútuos 4 de setembro de 1862 is located at Rua do Til, No. 22. This non-profit institution is a private social solidarity institution.
Founded in 1862, this mutual association promotes solidarity among its members and offers support in the areas of health and social assistance.
A long-held dream, the construction of a nursing home came true in 2025, thanks to RIM – Engenharia e Construções, S.A., the company responsible for the construction the 4-story, 24-bedroom building.
FN hotelaria was RIM's partner company with regard to hotel equipment, having supplied and installed kitchen equipment (preparation, cooking and pantry), cold storage facilities and laundry.
This residential care facility, in addition to the essential furniture and infrastructures for the care of the elderly population, offers various nursing, medical, psychological and physical activity services. There are 23 professionals dedicated to this institution, which has a capacity for 44 residents.
The space was inaugurated on December 12, 2025.
