PortoBay Blue Ocean Hotel
Opened in July 2025, PortoBay Blue Ocean joined PortoBay Falésia, located in Olhos de Água, Albufeira.
Resulting from the renovation of the former TUI Blue Falésia, this new superior four-star hotel promises guests "a serene and sophisticated experience, ideal for those seeking rest, beach and nature." Light, coziness and tranquility are striking features of the decor.
348 rooms of various types, a spa, 4 swimming pools, several lounges, a gym, a tennis court, and a hair salon are some of the amenities that guests can enjoy. There is also a new exclusive adults-only area with 38 rooms on the first floor and a swimming pool.
Direct beach access and 35,000 m2 of gardens "invite walks, outdoor reading and moments of contemplation". The connection between the two hotels, Blue Ocean and Falésia, is made by a 300-meter walkway. These two units combined make up the Vila PortoBay Algarve resort, whose coastline exceeds 700 meters.
Regarding the gastronomic offer, PortoBay Blue Ocean has 2 restaurants and 4 bars. Mercado is a buffet restaurant with show cooking and a varied menu. Flor de Sal, an à la carte restaurant next to the outdoor pool, in a "Brasserie" concept, celebrates the flavors of the Algarve, focusing on local and seasonal products. In the bars, the focus is on light meals and a relaxed atmosphere.
FN hotelaria was the company responsible for providing consulting services and developing hotel equipment projects for the PortoBay Blue Ocean. We were also responsible for supplying and installing the equipment for the buffet areas, show cooking, bars, wine cellars, pantries, cooking areas, cold storage facilities and storage area.
The PortoBay Blue Ocean remodeling process followed the brand's sustainability policies, with the implementation of a wide range of energy and environmental efficiency measures.
