FN hotelaria was the company responsible for the project, supply and installation of the hotel equipment and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to Saccharum Hotel Resort & Spa, when it opened in 2015.
The technical projects were entirely tailored to the needs of this hotel unit and, after the definition of all the appropriate solutions came the installation phase. FN hotelaria supplied the equipment for kitchens, pantries, show cooking, buffet, bars, cold rooms and cleaning solutions. The following phase was the technical training on the use and operation of equipment, which was provided to the hotel staff, in order to maximize the machines’ potential and prevent accidents.
The execution of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC) of Saccharum Hotel was also carried out by FN hotelaria.
The Saccharum Hotel's HVAC installation includes: hot water production; cold and hot water production for the public areas; air conditioning for the rooms; treatment of the indoor pool; ventilation systems; security systems and control and management systems.
In the production of hot water state-of-the-art and high-yield equipment is used, complemented by solar energy and heat recovery from the chiller, a high efficiency cold water production unit.
This solution is complete with the use of air treatment units on the public areas, with air distribution and high efficiency filtration systems.
The air conditioning systems in the rooms are direct expansion, centralized and use VRF technology.
Regarding the indoor pool, there is an autonomous dehumidification unit with free-cooling and heat recovery capability for air and water.
This installion is complete with all the ventilation systems (fresh air and extraction) that, respecting the efficiency requirements, are the guarantee of comfort for the hotel guests.
FN hotelaria has also implemented a centralized technical management system for HVAC systems that, in addition to monitoring its operation, allows a higly efficiency management of the equipment.
In general, our intervention has privileged solutions and equipment with a high level of performance and energy efficiency, in order to meet our client’s expectations, to comply with environmental requirements and the demand of comfort for the guests of this hotel.
In 2022, we returned to Saccharum to supply and install the hotel equipment for the redesign of the kitchen and pantry of Calhau Beach Club restaurant, a space dedicated to light meals "with your feet on the beach." For the same space, we also carried out the mechanical ventilation installations for the restaurant's kitchen.
In 2024, the management of Saccharum Resort once again entrusted FN hotelaria with the renovation of the Alambique restaurant. This space now features "a new open kitchen, ideal for enjoying unique and immersive gastronomic experiences," and capable of "elevating the authenticity of Madeira's gastronomy," as can be read on the hotel's website. Our work consisted of supplying and installing kitchen equipment (cooking area, serving area, cold area), wine display for the dining room and bar pantry. Our HVAC unit was responsible for carrying out the mechanical ventilation installations for the new cooking and pantry areas and adapting the existing networks.
