These are impressive numbers! 17 floors, 352 rooms, 14 pool suites, 2 presidential suites with a pool, a 3100 m2 spa, 6 pools, 5 restaurants, 3 bars, 23.000 m2 of gardens with 250 species of plants from all around the world…


Funchal's historic 5-star hotel was reborn in the summer of 2019 in the form of a cosmopolitan resort. Decorated by the prestigious Madeiran designer Nini Andrade Silva, it has a very striking aesthetic, which aims to be a tribute to the island of Madeira - from the nature of the island to its handicrafts -, but also to the historical, touristic and cultural heritage of the former hotel founded in 1912.

In addition to some decorative elements and to the name of the old disco assigned to one of the bars, the current Savoy Palace recovers, for example, the tradition of “5 o'clock tea”, the brand image of its predecessor. In explaining the concept adopted, palatial luxury, indulgence and exclusivity are watchwords for the AFA Group, current owner of the Savoy brand, and are transversal to the experiences provided, for example, by the spa or by the gastronomic offer signed by chef Carlos Gonçalves.

FN hotelaria was selected by AFA Group for the supply and installation of equipment for the many preparation, cooking and pastry areas, pantries, bars, wine cellars, buffets and show cooking areas, cold rooms, storage areas, staff refectory and laundry at the Savoy Palace hotel.

We must highlight the Marrone cooking block that furnishes one of the kitchens. The Vacation Club's mechanical ventilation and air conditioning installations were also under our responsibility. This was a project of enormous dimension and equivalent dedication of our entire team and of which we are very proud!
