One of the most prestigious national hotel units has recently undergone an expansion project. This luxury retreat in Grândola now has larger dimensions and new features and infrastructures, while maintaining the concept and philosophy of the original project, which opened in 2014.
Opposite the Sublime Comporta we already knew, now identified as the Terracota wing, a new wing emerges with 43 new villas and 3 central buildings, spread across 51 hectares of land. The Sand wing is dedicated to social areas, restaurants, and wellness areas.
Under the motto “The essence of grounded luxury”, the new Sublime Comporta sought to have a low impact on the landscape, respecting the identity of the region. Sustainability remains “at the heart of its philosophy”, to “preserve the simplicity and connection with nature that define the brand”. The new Sublime Comporta “honors the landscape and embraces the unique lifestyle of Comporta, with a fluid experience between interior and exterior, nature in the foreground and exceptional comfort throughout the year”.
This “family resort destination” now features, in the new Sand wing, 3 buildings with distinct purposes:
- Atrium is the "heart of the resort," featuring restaurants, a kids' club, a lounge bar, a library, a café, and shops;
- Aqua is a wellness center with swimming pools, a fitness area, a restaurant, and a bar;
- Forum is a building dedicated to event spaces, featuring an amphitheater, modular rooms, and a nightclub.
FN hotelaria played a significant role in this project, and our intervention encompassed all the new buildings. FN hotelaria was primarily responsible for providing consulting services and developing the hotel equipment projects. Secondly, we were responsible for supplying and installing the hotel equipment for the various foodservice areas of the different restaurants, cafes, and bars within this hotel unit, specifically the following equipment for:
- kitchen (preparation, cooking, pastry and pantry areas);
- bar (cafeteria, bar areas, wine cellars and wine displays, ice areas and pantry areas);
- cold storage installations (refrigerated areas, cold rooms, refrigerating plants and monitoring and control systems);
- buffet, room service, storage areas, staff refectory, shop and laundry.

For us, it is a privilege to have once again earned the trust of Sublime Comporta for the expansion of a project for which FN had already supplied and installed equipment and executed the mechanical HVAC installations in 2014 (HVAC, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
