The hotel unit that debuts the Andaz brand in Portugal was inaugurated on March 11th 2026. Andaz is a Hyatt Hotels Corporation brand focused on lifestyle and local culture.
The international connections of the Portuguese capital were decisive in its choice by Hyatt as a milestone in the group's growth in southern Europe.
At Rua do Comércio, in Lisbon, a 5-star hotel has emerged, aiming to establish a new standard in the luxury lifestyle hotel segment.
The Andaz Lisbon occupies the area resulting from the restoration of several historic buildings in downtown Lisbon. Located in the heart of the city, it seeks to reflect the openness, hospitality, and dynamism of the capital.
The decor combines the preservation of original architectural elements with a more contemporary design. It features materials typical of the city and traditional Portuguese elements, such as tiles or cork, warm colors, and inspiration from the kiosks so characteristic of Lisbon.
In terms of number of rooms (170), it is the largest hotel unit in the city center (in 2026). It also has a gym, terrace, bars and a restaurant.
At the top of the building we find Luzzi, a restaurant that combines Portuguese gastronomy with its global connections, presenting a "modern Lusitanian" cuisine. Z Bar and Z Terrace are also located on the top floor. Andaz Lounge, on the ground floor, is a lobby bar inspired by Lisbon kiosks, offering local specialties in an environment designed to convey urban energy.
This hotel aims to reflect the identity of the Portuguese capital and provide an authentic experience of the city, with its landscapes, sounds and routines.
FN hotelaria had a very comprehensive intervention in the new Hyatt Andaz Lisbon. FN hotelaria was responsible for supplying and installing the hotel equipment for the several floors, bars, and restaurant of this hotel: storage areas, cold storage facilities, room service, floor pantries, bar areas, where a wine cellar created specially for this hotel stands out, kitchen areas (preparation, cooking, pastry, and pantry), show cooking, gym support area, staff refectory and staff lounge.
WhereHaus Design, a design company specialized in F&B with internationally prestigious projects in its portfolio, was the consultant selected by the operator and responsible for developing the project, which was authored and designed by them.
However, FN hotelaria was also responsible for providing consulting services and developing hotel equipment projects, as a partner and resident participant appointed by the client. The initial projects were the subject of in-depth study by our team, which made important adaptations to meet functionality requirements, optimize circulation and work flows, always with excellence in foodservice space design as a primary concern.
The opening of this hotel marked the completion of a first phase that took three years to build. The planned new buildings will form a luxury urban resort with new amenities such as a spa, gym, restaurant, and event spaces. Even though physically separated, they form a complex where the true "resort is the city."
