Inaugurated on February 10, 2026, The Editory Garden Carmo Funchal has been transformed into a "mini urban oasis." Originally established in 1968 as the 3-star Hotel do Carmo, it underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2025. It has 80 rooms, a restaurant, and 2 bars. Meanwhile, it also gained a gym area on the rooftop.
The restaurant "celebrates contemporary cuisine with local inspiration" and prioritizes the seasonality of the ingredients.
The welcoming decor features natural elements from the island of Madeira and seeks to highlight the local culture.
The Editory Collection Hotels brand belongs to Sonae Capital and already has 13 hotels in Portugal.
FN hotelaria was the company responsible for supplying and installing the kitchen, buffet, and bar equipment.
We were also responsible for the execution of the HVAC installations. These services were provided to the client Base Insular Construções S.A., which was responsible for this subcontract.
