The first hotel under the “ME by Meliá” brand in Portugal is called ME Lisbon. Meliá Hotels International, present in more than 40 countries and with 12 properties in Portugal, celebrates with the ME collection “the unique personality of its destinations and the avant-garde design of its hotels [with] a bold and daring spirit”.
Open since August 1st, 2025, this 5-star hotel brings new brilliance to the contemporary luxury segment in the hotel industry of the Portuguese capital.
Located in the center of Lisbon, the 12-story building houses 213 rooms and suites, a spa, a gym, and a rooftop, as well as areas for meetings and events. The glass facade is one of the most avant-garde architectural features, and the decor incorporates the lilac tones of the jacaranda trees typical of the city.
ME Lisbon focuses on the urban and modern lifestyle, so art plays a key role in it. In addition to contemporary design and craftsmanship elements, not only the common areas but also the rooms showcase pieces from the hotel's art collection. Art installations, photography, and even videomapping take place in this hotel. The 6-meter-high atrium or the rooftop terrace are some of the venues that host artistic performances, embodying the strong cultural component of this hotel.
But ME Lisbon offers much more. Hospitality and culture are combined with the cosmopolitanism of gastronomy, through two internationally renowned gastronomic brands.
On the ground floor are the lobby bar and the Fismuler restaurant, both under the umbrella of the Spanish group Familia La Ancha. At the former, Elia, signature cocktails, snacks and light meals reign supreme. At Fismuler, the brand's first restaurant outside of Spain, breakfast, lunches and dinners are based on the seasonality of the products and on the refined cuisine of chef Nino Redruello.
For the top floor of ME Lisbon, the international group Sunset Hospitality has brought the high-end pan-Asian cuisine of Attiko. The brand's third location and first in Europe, Attiko offers a cosmopolitan atmosphere and panoramic views over the Portuguese capital, with a nighttime ambiance that complements the dishes on the menu created by the group's executive chef, Kyung Soo Moon. This is a fine dining restaurant dedicated to Japanese cuisine. On the 12th floor of ME Lisbon, in addition to the dining room and terrace, approximately 10 clients can sit at the kitchen counter.
Crowning the building is also the Attiko Rooftop Pool Bar, which offers a "sophisticated lounge atmosphere".
For ME Lisbon, FN hotelaria provided consulting services and development of hotel equipment projects, supplied and installed the equipment for kitchen (preparation, production, pastry and pantry), show cooking, buffets, bar areas, wine cellars, cold storage facilities, refrigerating plants, storage area, staff refectory, linen room, laundry and housekeeping.
In 2008, FN hotelaria had already equipped the group's first five-star hotel in Portugal, Meliá Madeira. It was a privilege to once again earn the trust of the Meliá brand for such a significant step in the evolution of this hotel giant in Europe.
